What is the M&C Condor?
Today we are talking about a Dutch security cylinder with anti-acid certification; we are talking about the company M&C. With the new 2024 version of the Condor, M&C has made a breakthrough in the world of security thanks to the technology and robust materials with which it works its products.
The Body
The M&C Condor has a modular body made of steel, has an anti-splinter bar bolted to the key inserts, and its extension details are also bolted to the inserts. With this technology, it guarantees ‘excellent resistance to brute attacks such as snapping.
This product with Swiss technology has been improved with drains present in the direction of the mechanical barrel (where the safety mechanics are waxed) so as to prevent the acid once inserted into the barrel from ponding and melting the entire mechanics. Inside this barrel there are a mix of technologies that put together manage to guarantee advanced safety.
To protect the Condor bore, it is studded with anti-drill pins furthermore its mechanical pins are made of steel. Due to its compliance, this cylinder has managed to obtain SKG IKOB 3-star certification, the highest score that can be awarded by the Dutch certifying body; this certification is also stamped on the cylinder body. In addition to this it also possesses EN 1670 certification for strong corrosion resistance.
The Key
Condor’s key is made of nickel silver with a comfortable grip that makes it easy to turn, even on locks that have friction. Its key is milled and punched with really advanced details.
The details on the key go into aligning impeccably made plates and pins. During rotation, the cylinder verifies the key as many as 4 times, creating an anti-bumping and anti-picking system (the manipulation systems that are used for quiet and fast openings). This step-by-step verification system makes Condor a really difficult cylinder to manipulate.
Factors to consider:
Although Condor is a cylinder that has many protections from brute attacks such as breaking and drilling, it is always recommended that mechanical or magnetic protectors be used so as to hinder direct attacks on the body and mechanical barrel.
